Application requirements & timelines

General rule:
10 years of legal and continuous residence in Spain.

Reduced periods may apply:
2 years for nationals of Ibero-American countries, Andorra, the Philippines, Equatorial Guinea, Portugal, or Sephardic origin.
1 year in specific cases (such as being married to a Spanish citizen or born in Spain).

Processing time:
Approximately 1 year (may vary).

Important:
You must maintain legal residence in Spain until nationality is granted.
